Kilims
The Turkish word Kilim basically refers to a pileless (surface and density of rug) and thin rugs. The main difference between Kilim and other types of hand knotted rugs is that Kilim is a flatweave. Although the majority of Kilims are made of 100% wool, some parts may also contain cotton. It is generally cheaper as it requires less effort to make than other hand knotted rugs.
